  • "The Bundtologist"

What is a Bundtologist, you ask? A Bundtologist is a person who is dedicated to creating delicious bundt cakes for everyone to enjoy, Simply stated, it is a person who appreciates the power of a good piece of cake. What are bundt cakes? Bundt Cakes are baked in a pan shaping it into a distinctive doughnut shape. The shape is inspired by a traditional European cake known as Gugelhupf, but Bundt cakes are not generally associated with any single recipe. The first cake was created by H. David Dalquist in Minneapolis, MN. Obviously over the years, they have changed in style and design from the original version (Visit www.bundtzbyrod.com to see a few examples), but the basic premise of cakes baked in a fluted pan is the same. My love for cake began as a youth through my mother who had a love for baking all kinds of desserts. My personal favorite was the traditional pound cake. She used to make them all of the time for family and friends. Everyone loved my mother's cakes. I was blessed to be in the house where they were created. Bundtz By Rod Online Bakery was born to pay homage to my mom, Ms. Barbara Cross. Sincerely, Rod Cross The Bundtologist"
